1.302 "Open up"

Thank you all for your support and your patience, this update doesn't have everything I wanted it to have, but it's getting there! I hope you'll appreciate the changes.

1.3 update changelog:

• You can now present your party to the gargoyle.
  • Special reaction when gnome or Rohan.
  • Random affliction (No effect at the moment)
• Destinations will be marked as “???” until discovered.
• Moving from room to room now costs ‘steps’ which resets once you end your turn regardless of a good rest or not. Their cost may vary depending on the distance and the effort required. Additionally the cost is announced as you hover a destination.
• New rooms in the caves and the swamp.
• New dark rooms requiring Yuvee.
• “Felsic & the bear” events were added, Felsic’s route was adjusted so that when you first speak to him he won’t fall in the hole next to him but at a later one on his way to find Kristof.
• “Emile and the werecanine” memory was added.
• Updated assets:
  • Rohan pushing out Amaïr’s seed.
  • Lucien trapped in the fungal organism.
  • Yuvee’s lantern.
  • Anthony’s rat form
  • Pipe rats in Lucien
  • Rat orgy top and down:
    • Cyril
    • Rohan
    • Amaïr (Guardian)
• Daagün ends up in the goblin’s lair more consistently.
• Daagün can be reunited with his hobgoblin self.
• Cyril can be saved from the rock prison.
• Cyril will be found in the rock prison after he’s been dropped in the sewers.
• Felsic can be reunited with his Goblin/Gnome counterpart.
• Kristof can be saved from his golem state.
• Anthony can now be invited in the sanctuary even after the rats got to him.
• Centaur Fight Flight or Freeze full interaction added as part of the forest encounters.
  • There’s a scene with Anthony in it.
• Fixed the vertical panning animation for large illustrations (eg. Kristof’s cave worms and Victor’s boar ritual).

Patch 1.301

• WIP guy no longer announces the swamp as low priority.
• Prisoners will now appear during trades.
• You can now reset Anthony, Cyril and Rohan to their original form by using human seed.
• The saving ‘PicklingError’ has been fixed, seems like I was redefining the reserved keyword ‘Return’ at some point when the player hit companions/prisoner limit.
• Companions/Prisoners limit has been temporarily lifted due to potentially soft-locking the player and losing characters permanently.
• Anthony’s name can now be discovered through his topics as a companion.
• Fixed an error in encoding synonymous names for characters causing them to share a common resource instead of creating individual entries.
• Event picture added:
  • Centaur aftermath Lucien.
  • Gnome Lucien rides Goblin Lucien.
• Interactions added:
  • Gnome Lucien with Goblin Lucien.
• Interactions in the following ares have been fixed:
  • Lower Swamp, Shrine view, now correctly invites you to dive down.
  • Higher Swamp, Chasm, now correctly invites you to climb down. The tree nook has been given a temporary description.
  • Dryad’s Ladder, Rock, now hints at the fact travelling NPCs will rest here in future updates.
  • Dryad’s Roots, Pond, now gives off a temporary description. The cave has been sealed by WIP guy as it seems the area will require more work, for now it won’t cause a crash.
• Memories added:
  • Anthony as a watchman during the centaur encounter.
  • Previously helped the centaur variation.

Patch 1.302

• Memories added:
  • Felsic rescued by the bear.
  • Felsic rewarding the bear.
• Event Pictures added/refreshed:
  • Guardian tops Lucien.
• Interactions added for gnome Daagün and gnome Felsic.
• The view down to the shrine no longer crashes the game, there was a typo in the code.
• Interactions from behind the shrine have been given simplified descriptions to avoid crashes.
• Portraits of characters within companion/prisoner screen have been adjusted to fit their frame.
• The trading now uses the new menu instead of the old one.
• Edited all paths to lower case and adjusted some functions for Linux and Android compatibility.
  • Note: There may still be errors I haven’t encountered, please report if you do.
• Help button added to summon WIP Guy, he’ll help you with the following:
  • Unstuck the player.
    • This restores the player’s body.
    • Also gives them Yuvee.
  • Locating NPCs.
  • Recovering NPCs.
  • Resetting tutorials.
  • Skipping current scene.
• Fixed a bug where returning to an area instead of using the bookmark could make you jump to the next area.
